Hershey Area Playhouse Holding Auditions for Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale

HERSHEY, Pa., April 26, 2015 – Hershey Area Playhouse is holding auditions for its upcoming production of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, on May 15 and 16 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Playhouse, located at Sandhill Road and Cherry Drive, Hershey.

From nightmarish to idyllic, The Winter’s Tale follows the royal families of Sicilia and Bohemia as jealousy and suspicion tear them apart. The passage of time, grace, and love, however, bring these long separated, fractured families together again in the most unlikely of circumstances.

Individuals who have a headshot and acting resume are encouraged to bring those items to the audition as well.

It is strongly recommended that those auditioning contact the show’s director, Kim Greenwalt, via email at [email protected] or phone at 717-269-1806, to reserve an audition spot.

On the night of auditions, individuals are asked to arrive 15 to 20 minutes prior to 7 p.m. to complete an audition form. Performances of The Winter’s Tale will be held Aug. 14-16 at the Playhouse.
